Life can come with many trials and tribulations. It can wind you into a cycle of highs and lows…the in-between and the unknowns. It is all truly a mystery. With everything though, you must have something to believe in.

Believing in something greater than ourselves puts each of us in a posture of gratefulness. And it doesn’t take away from the work we have done. It just points to our inner divinity and the supernatural forever at work in our lives. There is a serendipity present in the life of every human that we can either attribute to ourselves or to a greater force at work. Two things can be true. Humans are extraordinary but we are not omnipresent or all-knowing.
Do you know who is? God
For some of you, God is a distant being that doesn’t care much about you. For some, the idea of God is preposterous because of your logic, life circumstances, or your beliefs in other things. No matter where you fall on the spectrum. The course of your life is not without divine interference. You are deeply loved, whether you want to be or not. You don’t have to follow a strict set of rules or perform. God is not like your parents, your friends or maybe even your other relationships. If you make a mistake, He gives you chance after chance.
He doesn’t hold you to impossible standards.
Beliefs about God can be very nuanced. You can have faith and believe in science. Science is just evidence of the divine providence of God.

However, this isn’t a ploy to get you to convert or push to force you into the idea of God. This is for you to find space for gratefulness. As for me, I’m learning to thank God in every circumstance. Not because I’m always good but because He is.

In the roller coaster of life, it would benefit us to always have a “yes, lord” and a “hallelujah.” When you are in the midst of something that’s refining your character, “yes lord.” When you are struggling to have hope, “hallelujah.”
​
Life comes with trials.
Life comes with joy.
Life comes with struggles.
Life comes with triumphs.
​
You will survive every season with a yes lord and a hallelujah.
